LDP is a project which develops software platforms called LDP1 and Metadb. LDP1 is the current software platform. Metadb is a next generation software platform under development and is intended to replace LDP1.
Can any institution run LDP1 or Metadb?
Yes. Both LDP1 and Metadb are open-source software distributed under the terms of the Apache License 2.0.
Is Metadb ready to use?
Metadb currently runs in production with ReShare, and it is available for beta testing with FOLIO.
